Utilizing your analytical and writing skills, you will be responsible for:
Working with the project managers on scope, sizing, and status of tasks to ensure timely delivery of all documentation products.
Actively participating in the production of documentation, and testing of documentation in preparation for releases.
Maintaining current documentation, addressing bugs as needed.
Working with the QA team on defect resolution.
Supporting the Customer Support/Professional Services team as needed.
Two to six years experience planning and writing technical documentation, with a preference given to candidates with experience in software documentation.
Proficient at using FrameMaker and MS Word.
Experience with team development using source management tools such as CVS or similar tools and problem tracking tools.
Ability to work in a team or with multiple organizational departments in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment, with a preference is given to candidates with experience in start-up or emerging companies.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Bachelor degree in English, or related field preferred.
Minimal direction of staff required. Technical Writers will report to the Director of Engineering.
