Duties Employee works in the Department of Child Services (DCS), Information Technology Division, and works at the highest level of initiation and implementation phases of information systems analysis while considering the technical and/or business implications of the application of technology and/or improved processes and policies to the current and future business environment of the Indiana Support Enforcement Tracking System (ISETS) and the future system INvest. Employee works under the guidance of a Project Manager or higher level staff.
Representative duties include: Creates standardized templates, manuals and system documentation for impacted ISETS/INvest teams; Manages the revision or recreation of ISETS/INvest Technical documentation; Devises, modifies, reviews, publicizes and maintains procedures and policy manuals for ISETS/INvest; Reviews and edits material for proper use of terminology, style, content, grammar, punctuation and clarity; Creates graphics, charts, flows to meet technical or publication requirements; Provides communication and training to staff on document changes; Promotes the utilization of technical services to resolve business issues; Assists with the preparation of State and Federal Child Support reports, documentation and presentations; Facilitates meetings; Manages the expectations of customers, peers, vendors and management; Establishes and maintains strategic partnerships with child support stakeholders in order to help them meet their business and technical needs; Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts; May participate in vendor procurement of technical business solutions and products; May train, guide, or advise lower level ISETS/INvest Business Systems Consultants; Performs related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Basic knowledge of Child Support Enforcement systems and Child Support requirements; Basic knowledge of project management theories and practices and the ability to apply that knowledge; Thorough knowledge of the organizations business systems and industry requirements; Thorough knowledge of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment; Advanced knowledge of technical writing process tools and best practices; Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills Advanced Microsoft SharePoint document management skills; Advanced ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; Ability to lead, encourage and influence others to perform.
Difficulty of Work: Work is broad in scope requiring extensive judgment in adopting techniques to meet the information technology/business standards and procedures of a complex enterprise wide system.
Responsibility: Work has a direct influence and impact on the agencys ability to successfully administer the business operation to achieve agency mission, policy, or practice. Technical instruction is generally not needed; however employee may seek guidance when unique problems arise. Work is reviewed for adherence to deadlines and attainment of objectives.
