Advertised Summary Job Description
The Technician B will provide general research support. Duties include preparing solutions, setting up and calibrating equipment and carrying out fully planned experiments, collecting samples and keeping records of results. S/he will also perform other duties necessary to the functioning of the laboratory, such as ordering and maintaining laboratory supplies, chemicals and equipment. Additional duties include: assisting research scientist in preparation of precursors for radiolabeling, keeping track of animal cages in housing and status of animals under supervision of research scientist, become trained to operate imaging systems including Bioscan nano-SPECT/CT scanner and optical imager, become trained to perform quantitative immunohistology, and keep records.

Requires a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics or related science or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a drug screening test prior to a final offer of employment being made.
Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant
Familiarity with laboratory skills including preparing solutions, handling rodents, tissue preparation for histology. Microsurgical experience would be helpful or must have some experience with dissection in small animals.
