Instructional Support Assistant
Keep inventory of laboratory supplies and chemical and to order supplies and chemicals as needed and directed by the laboratory head
Maintain laboratory equipment in clean and working order, and to arrange repairs as needed
Maintain stocks of cells/organisms/strains as needed
Conduct scientific experiments under the supervision of the laboratory director and to keep records of results
Train new laboratory personnel in the standard practices of the laboratory and to supervise the research of undergraduate and/or graduate students as directed by the laboratory director
Supervise personnel who wash/sterilize glassware
Minimum Qualifications :
BA or BS degree in the Biological Sciences from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization
At least one year's experience conducting biological experiments

Preferred Qualifications :
Several years experience in a molecular biology and/or virology laboratory
Master's degree in Biological Sciences
Publications in the Biological Sciences
