This position is available in SCANA’s Information Systems and Technology Department Customer Support Center. Responsible for providing expert and creative solutions to user problems to ensure customer satisfaction and productivity, researching, resolving, and responding to complex questions received via telephone calls, customer generated tickets and emails. Providing support on electronic services in accordance with current standards, providing support for software as described in triage documentation and coordinating with all IST infrastructure and support teams. Analyze hardware, software and network problems, disruptions and outages, communicating via telephone and E-mail to the users and peers and diagnosing problems using network monitoring tools. More complex or unresolved issues are referred to appropriate technical, professional or service personnel for problem diagnosis and resolution. All team members share in a 24 X 7 on-call rotation that includes periodic weekend, off-shift, and extended hours to meet established service level agreements.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have strong customer service and problem solving skills, the ability to work in a team environment as well as the ability to work independently, must be familiar with basic workstation hardware functionality, must have the ability to understand network software, and must be proficient with and have the ability to install and support Windows 7 and MS Office 2007. Experience with Microsoft SCCM OSD is preferred.

Must have a Bachelors Degree or an Associates Degree and 0-2 years of job related experience or High School Diploma and 5+ years of job related experience or currently enrolled in a computer related curriculum and at least 3 months practical experience as a co-op or intern with SCANA.
