The Teens/Leaders in Training Coordinator – Youth & Family is a Program Instructor III responsible for directly overseeing participants in the Leaders in Training program by teaching various job skills and recreational activities to teens ages thirteen to fifteen through the City of Eden Prairie’s summer program. The primary position responsibilities and areas of impact are:
Plans bi-weekly meetings to teach leadership and future job skills to teens.
Develops program plans and facilitates group activities.
Plans and supervises bi-weekly recreational program trips.
Manage site placements and evaluation of teen leader participants.
Prepares year end program and budgeting report for Recreation Coordinator – Youth & Family.
While these areas are the primary focus of the position, we believe strongly in teamwork and employees may be called upon to perform a variety of duties in their roles with the City.
Education: Minimum of two years of post high school education in a related field required.
Work Experience: Minimum of two years working with teens; experience developing and implementing programs and activities preferred; previous job enrichment experience preferred.

The City of Eden Prairie conducts professional reference and criminal history checks for all employees joining the organization. In addition, the following is required for this specific position: drivers check (must have valid Driver’s License and excellent driving record). All final candidates must successfully complete and pass the pre-employment process before their first day of employment.
