Job Summary: Answers all incoming calls to the Hospital’s main telephone number and routes them appropriately throughout the organization. Provides emergency notification via paging system or overhead speaker system as necessary dependent upon nature of situation. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Skills: Excellent communication skills. Ability to respond to emergency situations. Prior reception/customer service experience in busy, high-pace environment is highly desirable. Experience in hospital switchboard systems and emergency procedures a plus. Other: Able to sit for long periods working with electronic communication equipment in a high-paced environment. Demonstrates knowledge of personal computer operations. Demonstrates ability to multi-task as indicated by prior work experience.
