Responsibilities:
·

Provide high level clerical functions to create business reports, presentations, spreadsheets, flowcharts, business processes, and organizational charts; as well as proof read (act as second reader) on some important presentations and documents

·

Perform research; assist with competitive analysis for journal proposals

·

Manage the schedule and calendar of department staff in an efficient manner, and document and arrange travel and accommodations according to travel policies and records retention policies

·

Schedules and organizes appointments for staff, including making conference room reservations, arranging for A/V and food when required, note taking and meeting minute preparation

·

Manage financial records through processing of invoices, expense reports, MOU's and contracts for vendors used

·

Ordering office supplies and preparing shipping materials

Requirements:
·

A high school education is required

·

A Bachelor of Arts degree in a Liberal Arts/Sciences curriculum that stressed excellence in research and writing is strongly preferred

·

5-7 years’ experience working in an administrative capacity, preferably in Scientific, Medical, Technical or Publishing related business

·

Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality, attention to detail and good communication skills

·

Strong Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio skills are preferred
