We are currently seeking a Global Meeting Services professional to join our Organization in Rockville, Maryland for 6 to 7 months.
The temporary Global Meeting Services professional will conduct research using issuer filings, company news, press releases, equity research reports, news publications, and research studies and through engagement with issuers and institutions. Collect and analyze proxy meeting documents, financial, industry and corporate governance information related to shareholder meetings, collect meeting result information, translate proxy materials into English and apply internal codes based on ISS' definitions and policy guidelines.
Procure and process governance company information for US and international companies as assigned to meet stated turn-around goals.
Translate issuer documents in ISS internal application.
Procure and process meeting result information.
Update and input data as required ensuring the quality of the data utilized by various ISS proprietary application.
Monitor key performance indicators for assigned data management area
Ensure adequate audit trails for data that is received or sent from production systems
Monitor quality control metrics to identify potential data issues and perform root cause analysis if data issues are identified
Participate and conducts research to support policy formulation and update efforts
Participate in various working committees and/or projects
Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent
Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a financial environment
Analytical ability and financial understanding of investment issues
Knowledge and experience with MS Office
Ability to work within a team-oriented environment
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Fluency in the following languages: Korean, Portuguese, Arabic, Hebrew, Turkish, aside from fluency in English.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Understanding of securities operations issues, corporate transactions and capital markets
Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis
