Perform basic clerical tasks using personal computer, simple office machines and equipment. Act as receptionist and respond to telephone and in-person inquiries from students, faculty and visitors, routing inquiries as appropriate. Prepare documents for, and assist in, the scanning, indexing and directing of files to appropriate folders; forward folders to the appropriate area in Financial Aid for processing. File and photocopy department correspondence and other material as needed. Make interoffice deliveries and pick-ups of mail and other material as requested. Handle special assignments as required.

A minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent required and a minimum of 2 years experience working in a college/university preferred. Must be proficient in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office suite software, and possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain and keep current with detailed procedures and requirements in accordance with previously established procedures, policies and regulations. Experience performing data entry preferred. Must possess and demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with a diverse constituency.
NOTE: Two (2) temporary positions have been budgeted for March, 2013 through August, 2013, or sooner at the discretion of the supervisor.
Days/Hours: 20 to 25 hours per week, as needed.
Salary: $19.05 per hour (Schedule 86/0)
