C0100 Student Office Worker
The Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS) is a progressive business regulatory state agency dedicated to the mission of protecting and serving Oregon’s consumers and workers while supporting a positive business climate.
This temporary position is with Employee Services. Employee Services is responsible for providing DCBS managers and employees with information, interpretation, and guidance regarding federal and state personnel laws, state and agency rules and policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
® This part-time temporary position will be scheduled to work a flexible schedule of 10 to 20 hours per week which will depend on workload need. The work schedule will be discussed at the interview and finalized when the job offer is made.
The successful candidate will provide general clerical assistance. Major duties include:
® Assist with telephone coverage.
® Assist with special projects and photocopying, as needed.
® Assemble training materials.
® Assist with file maintenance.
® Update “hard to fill” association contact list.
® Work with other divisions to determine best referral resources (membership directories).
® Assist with YouTube recruitment project and work on recruiting social media project.
® Organize files.
® Prepare draft reports.
® Review online training files for the purpose of maintaining consistency.
® Review training files to ensure that contents are consistent and complete.
® Use Training Desk Procedures.
® Evaluate other state agency iLearn E-learning modules for consideration.
® Create a list to be place on the internal website of training library books for loan.
® Assist with Employee Services career planning client services evaluation using Survey Monkey.

The successful candidate will at a minimum be:
® At least 16 years old. AND
® Currently enrolled at least half-time in high school or college. OR
® Scheduled to attend high school or college at least half-time starting with the fall session.
® Outstanding attention to detail.
® Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.
® Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
® Outstanding grammar and proofreading skills.
