The assignment location is the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center (SARTC) located at 1000 East Santa Ana Boulevard, Santa Ana, CA 92701.

There is currently one opening for this Bilingual Spanish, temporary position that will last a maximum of 6 months, and will work up to 40 hours per week. In addition to the hourly salary listed above, incumbents receive an additional $.73 per hour bilingual pay.

Essential Functions Include But Are Not Limited To:
This is a property management position which coordinates SARTC facilities maintenance and security on a day-to-day basis. Duties to be performed include: Prepares specifications and administers security, maintenance and lease agreements and contracts. Performs on-site maintenance and security inspections. Schedules and conducts facility tours for prospective tenants; conducts tenant orientations. Assists tenants in locating services; resolves minor tenant complaints. Complex issues and problems are directed to supervisor. Provides information to the public regarding special programs and the SARTC facility. Schedules and coordinates meetings and special events. Maintains moderately complex records; assembles data and information; prepares and types reports and correspondence. Coordinates use by movie production companies of SARTC and City owned properties. Receives, records and transmits tenant rental and other payments for processing; verifies bills and processes appropriate payments; provides fiscal oversight and prepares the SARTC budget. Answers phones; interviews and secures information from callers; answers questions or makes referrals to appropriate resource. Operates personal computers and standard office equipment including copiers and fax machines. May be assigned to review work of part time employees and assists in training new workers. Performs other functions as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
One year of experience in tenant/facility management, and two years of complex and responsible office clerical work involving extensive public contact. Education equivalent to graduation from high school, including or supplemented by coursework in typing, office practices, business English or arithmetic, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the desirable knowledge, skills and abilities.
Knowledge of: standard practices for administering rental, lease and vendor agreements; modern office practices/procedures; modern office equipment, including personal computers; business English, arithmetic, and bookkeeping principles.
Ability to: operate personal computer; understand and carry out moderately complex oral and written instructions; perform duties without close supervision; learn, interpret and explain specific regulations, policies and procedures; maintain moderately complex records and prepare reports; use correct grammar and spelling; make accurate and rapid computations and comparisons; establish effective working relationships with tenants, vendors, contractors, and members of the public in a culturally diverse community.
A bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a closely related field is desirable but not required.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
Must possess and retain a valid California Class “C” Driver’s License as a condition of employment.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Willingness and ability to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
