PURPOSE of POSITION:|
To serve as the National Tennis Center TAUT (Ten & Under) Lead with the responsibility of instructing players and training staff in tennis programs; being an effective liaison between the NTC and our customers, and to work within the organization during the US Open as assigned.
Coordinate, manage and train participants and its Tennis Professionals at the NTC.
Plan, generate and maintain appropriate documents and paperwork.
Demonstrating on and off court, the technical and tactical competencies for TAUT for all levels and progressions.
Monitoring the Tennis Professionals and the TAUT programs to ensure that all lessons and programs meet the standards set by Community Tennis and Player Development.
Provide group clinics and private instruction for TAUT players as well as coordinating other Teaching Professionals within the TAUT program.
Develop and coordinate a competitive pathway for the TAUT program that includes Play Days, Junior Team Tennis, and sanctioned tournaments.
Assist with USTA Community Tennis and Player Development TAUT trainings held at the NTC.
Demonstrated on-court tennis skills and proven ability to effectively communicate and teach tennis to all levels and ages.
Excellent leadership qualities with the demonstrated ability to train and manage other Teaching Professionals.
Demonstrated successful experience to organize and manage the National Tennis Center’s TAUT population; both the parent’s and the students utilizing the TAUT format for teaching tennis to juniors.
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication including technology.
Certification by USPTA and/or PTR organizations is required.
Should pursue USTA certifications such as Referee/Umpires.
College Degree preferred.
