Watco Companies is seeking a Terminal Manager to join our team in Pecos, TX. The primary function of this position will be to ensure the safety, compliance and fiscal responsibility of the operation. The Terminal Manager will coach and grow team members in company principles and exhibit necessary leadership, analytical/decision making and managerial skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Full responsibility and oversight of the 24/7 crude oil terminal operations with SAFETY and ENVIRONMENT being the highest priorities next to financial stewardship.

• Manage staff of supervisors and team members

• Manage supervisors to lead, train and develop team members.

• Ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

• Participate in customer meetings to build relationships.

• Responsible for terminal financial, budgeting and forecasting.

• Maintain and develop safety culture among Team Members.

• Participate in and promote regional and/or corporate initiatives.

• Ensure that Team Members receive the proper training to perform their jobs.

• Routine interface with accounting, maintenance, engineering and other terminal support teams.

• Routine communication and coordination with other corporate departments.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; inventory software; internet software and order processing systems.
• Extensive background in crude oil via rail terminals

• Strong Organizational and leadership skills for a multifaceted work environment.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication

• Detail oriented and customer focused.

• Ability to troubleshoot operational problems.

• Familiar with applicable Federal, State and Local regulatory agency requirements for handling, storage and transportation of crude oil products.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the Company and its insurers.

• Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge, above the minimum requirements, not required but advantageous in this position.

Physical Demands:
• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

• Must be able to see well enough to read gauges, precision measuring instruments, schematics, maintenance manuals as needed.

• Must be able to talk and hear well enough to communicate with co-workers, supervisors and others within the company 100% of the time.

• Must be able to reach with arms and hands to perform inspection, maintenance and repair duties when needed.

• Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, kneel, squat 100%.

• Must be able to use hands to grasp, handle, and finger and feel 100%.

• Must be able to climb and balance well enough to mount equipment by climbing up and down steps as needed.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance

Work Environment:
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to a high noise level; moving mechanical parts, moving machinery, outside weather conditions and elements; fumes from gasoline, oil and grease. The employee may occasionally be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
