Are you looking for an Engineering role within a dynamic team with the opportunity for growth and development? You will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, conducting diagnostics, modifying and evaluating electronic circuitry, subsystems, or other hardware elements of manufacturing test systems.
The engineer will be responsible for the continuous improvement, system monitoring through process metrology and sustainability of the existing test systems in the area to help drive quality initiatives. The engineer will support the production test systems used in the manufacturing of process calibrators to help troubleshoot system issues to improve system up-time and reliability. This individual will also work with the New Product Introduction team to transition ownership of the manufacturing test stations during the release of a new product to the manufacturing group.
Drive improvements in quality, productivity and cost in the manufacturing test process
Specify and/or design factory test equipment; prepare documentation to enable fabrication of test equipment
Establish and manage action plans to communicate schedule and impact of improvement activities
Identify root cause and countermeasure issues to prevent reoccurrence
Review and evaluate new product designs or changes in existing designs; determine calibration specifications, functional and /or environmental test requirements and need for test equipment, fixturing and facilities
Provide technical assistance and conduct training in the operation and test of new products to test personnel
Prepare calibration and test procedures and related documentation
Develop software for system testing of appropriate testing units
Direct or perform software testing
Monitor progress of tests for validity of test conditions, means of measurement and performance of component or unit in relation to specifications
Direct or review test results; take corrective action as necessary
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Systems Engineering
Strong circuit analysis and analog skills
Strong troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and project management skills
Skills in layout, validation, new product development, design and release process, and root cause analysis and general troubleshooting.
Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects at one time.
Excellent attention to detail and follow-up.
Experience with the design of medical products or similar commercial products a plus
Solid computer, excellent organizational and strong communication skills.
