Our client has an immediate opportunity for a software engineer/application developer to provide a pivotal role in the ongoing development of both a web-based enterprise content management system (CMS) and a learning management system (LMS), built on open source technologies.
Job Scope
  • Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of professional, web-based eLearning products and services, while balancing the competing commitments to best-of-breed technology solutions
  • Deliver world- class engineering solutions precisely aligned with business drivers; based on robust software architectures; and embracing industry best practices.
  • Participate in engineering activity supporting: a content management system; learning management systems; courseware playback environments; and analytics and reporting dashboards.
  • Hands-on programming guided by the CMS team to implement new templates and change variables within the CMS.
Responsibilities and Functions
  • Drive software development of publishing and reporting tools that manipulate data and digital assets maintained in the CMS
  • Assist in the swift resolution of production environment issues.
  • Strictly XML content conversion via XSLT assembling various assents and file types
  • Implement Instructional Design templates using XSLT
  • Participate in requirements elicitation and elaboration processes.
  • Assist in the swift resolution of production environment issues.
  • Strictly manage deliverables according to schedule
Job Requirements:
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and epics/story writing.
  • Clear content vision with deployment of native, SCORM, and AICC packaging, and integrating HTML5 templates with XML and XSLT.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Support and Quality Assurance team members to address defects and to expedite defect resolution.
  • Support implementation of CMS, ongoing responsibility for templates (Dojo), Ongoing support of database (Mongo DB).
