Your daily responsibilities include:

Rosecroft Raceway is currently looking for an Timing/Photo Finisher Operator to join our team.
  • Must be knowledgeable on rules and regulations of The Ohio Racing Commission
  • Ensures all equipment associated with timing and photo finish mechanisms are in good working order prior to race.
  • Activates timing sensors and equipment prior to race
  • Activates lighting system for photo finish camera and sets cameras in position for recording images at finish line.
  • Provides for backup system of hand timing for races in event of malfunction of electronic timer
  • Provides Ohio Racing Commission judges with images of photo finish on demand
  • Supplies official order of finish and finish time of every horse to Official Charter
  • Must be available to work for any training, schooling, racing or qualifying hours

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Read, write legibly, understand and speak English
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
  • Must be properly trained in advance by vendor supplying timing and photo finish equipment
  • Must have license from United States Trotting Association
  • Must be licensed with Ohio Racing Commission
  • Excellent customer service/communication skills
  • Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
  • Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
  • Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
