The Tooling Engineering Manager will:
Responsible for providing guidance and expertise specifically for Shop Floor-related tools, tooling designs, products, programs and systems.
Provide technical advice and guidance on hand tools; power feed equipment, speeds and feeds, and adaptation of existing or new equipment within the industry, to satisfy the modification and sustainment of customer equipment. Provides expertise resolving technical issues, troubleshoot products and provides recommendations.
Provides training to the shop floor level and IPT.
Independently determines and develops solutions.
Solutions should be imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organizational objectives.
Frequent contact with internal and external customers.
Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of company technical products, programs and systems. Provides expertise for resolving technical problems, troubleshoots product and modifies product to customer requirements. Provides training to customers. Work may be done at customer site. Includes software systems and programs designed for customers (corporate and individual) and government entities.
