EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must possess a comprehensive set of quality hand tools. Applicants must be capable of learning how to repair and care for industrial facility equipment used in beet sugar processing. Candidate may be required to work the universal schedule depending on company needs. Sufficient knowledge of the beet sugar process to identify and diagnose mechanical issues.
Required Skills: Possess following specific Millwright skills: Precision leveling and alignment of a power transmission system Complete understanding of pipe-fitting and valve systems Demonstrate proper fitment of bearing tolerances Demonstrate understanding of basic hydraulics Understand fundamentals of airflow, steam flow and fluid flow Expert rigging skills Blueprint reading Demonstrate good math skills using angles and decimal dimensions used in layout and precision work Demonstrate proper bolt selection and torque procedures Understand all aspects of power transmission lubrication Familiar with using precision tools Excellent mechanical-system-troubleshooting skills Produce a weld equivalent to AWS D1.1 3G SMAW following accepted setup and safety procedures. Additional Job Skills required include: Advanced skills in cutting, fabrication, and welding Mechanical skills, including, but not limited to: Understanding and implementing preventive maintenance Heavy equipment mechanics Power transmission (gearboxes, belts, chains, etc.) Pumping systems Machine shop operations on lathe and mill Compressors and compressed air systems HVAC EDUCATION: High School Diploma or EquivalentThe Western Sugar Cooperative is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
