Summary

The Trade Show Manager is responsible for execution of all trade shows held in the U.S, Canada, and Latin America in which Weber actively participates. This manager’s responsibility is to handle logistical matters, maintaining relationships with unions, staff accommodations, media coverage where appropriate, booth designs and concepts.

This position reports to the SVP, Sales and works collaboratively with the Sales and Marketing teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned
Manage the execution of Weber trade shows and exhibits Effectively manage vendors, production staffs, and on-site personnel Active participation in developing and implementing trade show strategies and plans that produce successful, measurable results Develop and manage ways to assess events and promotions tied to trade shows in order to create detailed, executive summary results reports Contribute to and seek out ways to continually improve trade show administrative efficiencies Develop, oversee, and effectively communicate trade show production schedules to vendors, production staffs, and on-site personnel Plan and work effectively with Dealer Service, manufacturing representatives, product managers, and sales managers to secure product and staffing for trade shows Develop and manage trade show budget Manage on site booth set and tear down (Travel required) Manage booth designs and refreshes Manage hotel accommodations for staff involved in trade shows

Education and/or Experience 4-year degree preferred Minimum of 3 years trade show experience
Other Skills and Abilities
General understanding of retail sales Strong presentation skills Ability to build impactful relationships with trade show companies Ability to effective manage vendors, production staffs, and on-site personnel Ability to effectively interact across multiple disciplines Ability to develop a long-term strategic plan PC proficiency with MS Office, particularly with PowerPoint, Excel, & Outlook Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and measure tactical plans Proven success in managing multiple projects Creative approach to problem solving Highly enthusiastic and hands-on personality

Ability to travel throughout the U.S., with some travel to Canada and Mexico. Ability to arrive at trade show venues for setup, remain in the host city throughout the show, and then assist with post-show teardown. Ability to lift product cartons, displays, and shelving.

Primary work completed in the corporate offices of Weber-Stephen Products, LLC’s world headquarters in Palatine, Illinois. Considerable work is also conducted throughout major cities and hotels in the U.S. Frequently work will be conducted onsite at convention centers.
