The person in this position will be part of a closely integrated team creating and delivering hands-on and ad hoc PeopleSoft training, web-based training and user manuals and materials, as well as, providing help desk support to the entire PeopleSoft community on the Financial and HR systems on the KU Medical Center and Wichita campuses. This position also provides business analysis for new Peoplesoft modules, revising current modules and other software used by or planned to be used by the Kansas City and Wichita campuses.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or University with a minimum of 15 hours in business, computing science, education or a related field. Experience performing the work as described herein may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.

One year of full time work experience delivering hands-on technical or software training.
Experience in data analysis or business process analysis.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, display good interpersonal skills, and maintain good working relationships with a diverse group of customers.
Ability to work cooperatively or independently as required by the nature of an assigned task.
An understanding of accounting principles.
Ability to coordinate several ongoing projects.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in management information systems, business, statistics, education or a related field.
Two or more years developing and delivering training to users at a state university, university medical for health sciences center.
One or more years of experience using PeopleSoft HR or Financial software or other enterprise software products including formal training.
One or more years of experience using analytical software such as MS Access, Excel, PS/Query reporting software.
Experience delivering stand-up group and hands-on training on enterprise software on a full time basis.
Formal training in technical writing for business policies, procedures, training manuals or technical documentation.
Technical "help desk" experience. Web, CBT or WBT development. Two or more years providing business analysis in an educational environment. UPK experience a plus.

Plans and conducts training projects from detailed specifications. Documents processes used by users, departments, and/or the medical center; defines the scope of training and uses various software to produce manuals, web pages and/or presentations. Conducts training on the KUMC campus as well as the Wichita campus. Provides remote training as required.

Analyze business and other data processing problems for application to data processing systems. Analyze users requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system and major software application limitations.

Provides and documents testing of new and modified Peoplesoft modules. Provides test results to central office users and technical developers. Provides input to central office users and developers regarding consistency of the user interface to provide a user friendly system.

Upgrades and maintains the web site for Institutional Finance and Administration including complete overhaul and revisions of the website to meet KUMC specifications as necessary.

May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, operating systems and internet usage as applicable.
