TitleTraining Developer Location Houston , TX Job Description Purpose Responsible for developing training programsmodules that align with and support business strategies assess learning needs and measure effectiveness of training solutions. Responsibilities bull Develop company-wide instructional training material and communications based on support and enhancement of business strategy and needs assessment results. bull Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create learning content and communications o Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to gather and understand information, products and services, policies, procedures, systems and skills requiring instruction or development o Assist in the analysis of project data provided by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) o Incorporate relevant data into development of instructional material and communications according to a standardized format bull Develop high-level and detailed content outlinesstoryboards to result in computer-baseddelivered learning modules, including creating course content at a level appropriate to defined objectives and target audience within quality controlled standards while enhancing content through effective storytelling bull Update and maintain published training material and communications bull Design assessments and quizzes that measure the effectiveness of training based on the Learning Objectives bull Use effective time management to track and prioritize projects Position Characteristics bull Under limited supervision, works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. bull Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
bull Excellent verbal and written communication skills bull Must be able to produce learning content quickly, according to established writing standards and sound instructional design principles bull Ability to work in a collaborative team environment while still managing individual project content and production bull Willingness to seek out and respond to feedback bull Understand and respond to quickly changing priorities and business needs bull Ability to execute with urgency in a very fast-paced environment bull Strong attention to detail bull High level of organizational skills Qualifications bull Two to four years of professional training experience, or equivalent corporate- and plant-related training programs experience preferred. bull Exceptional Computer Skills, including a minimum of 4 years of experience and skill in using computer software - Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Office Suite bull Demonstrated knowledge and utilization of adult learning methodology. bull Experience developing customized training sessions and learning tools such as job aids, tests, etc. based on learner needs.
