Manages the activities involved in the execution of training and development programs for managers and employees within geographical scope of position. Partners with HRBP's and OD Consultants to assess and implement training & OD initiatives to support organizational strategies. Contributes to global project initiatives through the creation and implementation of new tools and resources.

Partners with Training & OD, HRBP's and external vendors to plan and coordinate logistics for training events. Enters course within the learning management system (ETR), refines or creates course outline in conjunction with trainer for course description as appropriate, calculates pricing for approval and minimum course attendance.

Supports OD Consultants in preparing high quality programs and services to Autodesk teams including 1:1 sessions, group offsites and other interventions. Contracts and negotiates with internal and external facilities (including hotels and suppliers) to arrange for and set-up appropriate training space. Communicates forthcoming classes to employees, and ensures appropriate staffing both internally and externally.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Partners with Training & OD, HRBP's and external vendors to plan and coordinate logistics for training events. Enters course within the learning management system (ETR), refines or creates course outline in conjunction with trainer for course description as appropriate, calculates pricing for approval and minimum course attendance.
  • Contracts and negotiates with internal and external facilities (including hotels and suppliers) to arrange for and set-up appropriate training space. Communicates forthcoming classes to employees, and ensures appropriate staffing both internally and externally.
  • Coordinates and schedules third party vendors including hotels, equipment suppliers, entertainment, and caterers.
  • Works with Purchasing to negotiate and draw up contracts. Researches potential event locations and conducts site inspections. Evaluates alternatives and recommends options to Training & OD management team.
  • Maintains and owns contracts with geo specific training providers ensuring compliancy to country specific legal criteria. Manages vendors to agreed service levels, negotiating refunds or discounts for poor training offerings.
  • Distributes pre-work, monitors class enrollments and cancels/postpones classes to avoid cancellation charges. Conducts follow-up class evaluations to determine applicability and effectiveness of course material. Provides feedback to participants, trainers, external providers/suppliers and Training & OD consultants to help influence and improve future events.
  • Participates in and may manage global Training & Organizational Development projects, programs, and policies in line with divisional objectives. Provides input and feedback on regional requirements for global roll out, and develops tools and resources for support of worldwide programs.
  • May manage geo training budget, invoice management charge backs, accruals etc.
  • May generate quarterly reports from ETR for GEO HR Team, including updates on corporate T&OD initiatives progress, training history, and other key training metrics.
  • Provides technical support for internal and external webinars, phone conferences and meetings. Stays up-to-date on appropriate use of in-house technologies including phone, Lin, Live Meeting and other software and telephony in support of Training &OD programs including OD work.

Requirements:
  • Vendor management, negotiating and scheduling; project management; consulting, training technologies (i.e., Word, Excel, Sharepoint), telephony and webinars; training development
  • 1 to 2 years experience in operational role
  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience
  • Manage multiple priorities, teamwork, customer service orientation, influencing,
