TRAINING MANAGER - Plant Vogtle 1&2

Summary of Position Duties :
The Plant Vogtle 1&2 Training Manager will lead the Training Department and be responsible for:

Setting and reinforcing management standards and expectations in the field.
Monitoring performance and providing feedback to assigned personnel.
Ensuring instructors and training programs reinforce standards and expectations
Assisting with the selection and preparation of license candidates for hot license training.
Staying current by benchmarking with industry initiatives, trends, and new techniques for training program excellence
Training OE coordination
Training corrective action program (CAP) coordination
Implementing requirements to maintain INPO accreditation
Fire brigade training and drills preparation and coordination
Maintaining training related procedures
Maintaining assigned plant administrative procedures.
Ensuring the Security Force is trained, retrained, and qualified on procedures, weapons, and tactics to protect the plant from threats and intruders
Providing training for unescorted access along with OSHA, DOT, and other compliance commitments to SNC employees and others desiring site access
Ensuring Confined Space Rescue, First Responder, Fire Team and Fire Brigade members are trained, retrained, and qualified
Maintaining the materiel condition of the training facilities and equipment
Providing necessary support and normally filling a role in the Emergency Response Organization
Responsible for training and qualifications of assigned personnel

Job Requirements :
Following are the minimum requirements for this position.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical degree
  • 8 years related work experience to include 5 years of nuclear plant experience
  • 3 years supervisory/management experience
  • Current or previous SRO license
Job Preferences
  • Detailed knowledge of plant procedures and regulations
  • Detailed knowledge of plant systems and processes
  • Systems approach to training process expertise
  • Experience in INPO or other accreditation processes
