We are in need of a Training Specialist- Level II for an opportunity in Washington D.C. and Alexandria, VA.


The Training Specialist Conducts research necessary to develop and revise comprehensive courses and prepares appropriate training materials for the Office of Information Technology (OIT)’s Process Improvement Support Services unit . The Training Specialist prepares the following: all training material (course outline, background material, and training aids), all student material (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, exercises, completion certificates and course critique forms). In addition, he or she provides support, including train the trainer, formal classroom training courses, computer-based training, web-based instruction, workshops, exercises, and seminars, demonstrate excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills, be able to formulate and author training specific to project work, as well mentor associate trainers and teach complex technical coursework on a variety of material.

Public Trust Clearance

Bachelor's degree in a related field

Ability to organize projects and work independently

Candidates must have at least 6 years of relevant experience

Degree in Instructional Technology, Educational Technology preferred, related degree fields will be considered (psychology, I/O psych, education etc.)

Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with Human Capital Consulting across a broad range of areas (not solely in the learning areas)

An understanding of human performance

Experience operating in the Federal space

Candidate must be eligible to obtain a US security clearance.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications for this position include the following:

Developing Training Materials using Adobe Captivate

E-learning design and development mastery

BOTH Computer Based Training/Instructor Led Training (Experience with technology-based learning design and development is a must)

Learning strategy development including learning technology, learning organization strategy, curriculum/competency mapping, media analysis

Front-end analysis

Learning evaluation

Experience with immersive learning/gaming design

Federal Government Human Capital Consulting experience in a team- oriented environment is ideal

Large scale Project Management oversight is ideal
