Enterprise Holdings, EAN Services, has an opening for a Virtual Training and Development Specialist position for supporting our Contact Centers. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to facilitate virtual trainings on both soft skills and technical skills to support both new hires and current employees working remotely across various departments in the call center. Some face-to-face training may be required as well. In either setting, the goal will be to help trainees retain knowledge and succeed in their jobs, as measured by performance metrics employees are required to meet. In addition, the Training and Development Specialist will strive to have all trainees exceed the minimum expectation on quizzes and tests used evaluate their success in training.

The Training and Development Specialist will communicate and collaborate frequently with other Training and Development Specialists. This position will also require communication with the Training Designer and Developers and the Training and Development Manager in a continued effort to improve training. Work on other training related projects may be required. This position will require you to work from our St. Louis Contact Center, with an eventual transition to virtually training out of your home in the future.

  • Learn all aspects of the company and become a subject matter expert in designated area
  • Use knowledge of adult learning and training to deliver engaging new hire training and internal training on both soft skills and technical skills
  • Assist with designing and developing measurable training that contributes to the increased performance level of employees, using company specific software
  • Consult with Manager and Designer/Developers regarding training successes and areas of opportunity for continuous improvement of training
  • Develop and communicate techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting complex information to team of other Training and Development Specialists
  • Identify coaching opportunities and apply effective on-the-job coaching techniques to enhance performance levels in support of business needs
  • Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting
  • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
  • Facilitate interactive training sessions in a variety of settings that meet the learning needs of a diverse audience
  • Provide feedback to multiple levels of management on employee performance
  • Implement Corporate-developed training programs
  • Manage multiple training programs, coordinate facilitators and back-up sessions as needed
  • Use high level of technology to train and perform job functions
  • Monitor and maintain training materials to ensure they are up-to-date and relevant
  • Perform administrative tasks related to planning, communicating, and conducting training (build and maintain virtual classroom ahead of time, attendance, time sheets, assigning tests and quizzes)
  • Keep work area, training room, and equipment in clean and working condition
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

  • Must have permanent residence in the St. Louis Metropolitan area
  • 4-year college degree
  • Minimum 2 years experience training or teaching (virtual training experience in a call center environment is preferred)
  • Demonstrated success as training, leading and coaching employees
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and integrity
  • Experience in analyzing, planning, developing, implementing and evaluating training
  • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning and training practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent organization skills and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively (speaking and listening) without being able to see participants.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic even in difficult situations

  • Some evening hours may be required
Virtual Trainer Qualifications :
  • Flexible and resilient in times of difficulty
  • Ability to multitask (read chats, teach, troubleshoot at once) and feel comfortable while working in a fast-paced, ever-changing, high energy environment
  • Proficiency in use of virtual training platforms (Adobe Connect experience is preferred)
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills (both in person and virtually)
  • Knowledge of virtual training best practices
  • Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot effectively
  • Ability to provide detailed communication through email and IM, fast typing skills
