Ernst & Young's Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice offers companies professional transaction experience. We help clients determine the right deal to do, and then assist them in doing the deal right.
Within TAS, our Valuation group helps clients understand the value of their business, their securities, intellectual property, capital equipment, real estate, intangibles, and other assets. E&Y Valuation is comprised of several key areas including Business Valuation, Capital Equipment, and Leasing. We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior to join our talented and team-oriented group.
Confer with other team members to perform valuations for management planning; mergers and acquisitions; tax and financial reporting; and shareholder disputes. Identify issues and propose strategies related to the procedures executed. Actively contribute to report generation and detailed financial modeling. Maintain positive, productive, and professional relationships with client personnel and colleagues.
Perform basic supervisory duties and mentor and train junior staff. Develop people through effectively delegating tasks and providing guidance to staff. Review the work of all staff and ensure the work steps are completed accurately. Provide performance feedback and training, and conduct performance reviews. Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment. Consult with staff members to offer companies professional transaction experience and determine the right deal to do, and then assist them in doing the deal right.
Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members; stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the client's business; and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided.
To qualify, candidates must have:
a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting with demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis
Must have 2 years of relevant experience in venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, strategy, and financial research
Must have 2 years of Purchase Price Allocation (PPA) experience in support of FAS 141/142
1 year of experience will be acceptable for those with a relevant graduate degree
relevant experience in venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, strategy, and financial research
achievement of or significant progress towards a CFA; ASA/AM designations are a plus with the expectation of one completed designation within a given timeframe
excellent analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and teaming skills
PC proficiency including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
