Central Florida Pathology Associates, PA is seeking a Transfusion Service Medical Director to develop and oversee a Patient Blood Management Program in collaboration with a nurse Patient Blood Management Program Director. Responsibilities will include medical direction of a fully integrated patient blood management program that includes anemia management, strategies to reduce blood loss, physician and caregiver oversight and education on proper blood utilization, and development of prospective transfusion review with integration of Computerized Physician Order Entry plus Decision Support and utilization of laboratory services for a multi-hospital system.

Services include Bone Marrow Transplant, Solid Organ Transplant (Kidney, Liver, Heart, Lung), Cardiac Surgery(Adult/Pediatric),a Comprehensive Cancer Center and Neurology/Neurosurgery.
- Excellent communication, presentation and teaching skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of caregivers, particularly physicians
- Clinical Pathology Board Certified with Subspecialty Boards in Blood Banking /Transfusion Medicine
Board Certified in Internal Medicine with subspecialty Boards in Hematology and Blood Banking /Transfusion Medicine
- 3+ years experience preferred with emphasis on experience in a Blood Management Program
