Under the direction of the Clinical RN Coordinator, the Scheduling Coordinator actively coordinates an organized and efficient clinic flow by scheduling future day-to-day activities, monitoring/resolving potential scheduling conflicts. The Scheduling Coordinator acts as a liaison with other departments and physician office staff and arranges for all necessary support services. Schedules all clinic appointments, follow-up appointments, labs, diagnostic studies, etc. in an efficient and timely manner. Review patient schedules for potential conflicts and ensures excellent patient experience. Reviews the master schedule to ensure that the maximum numbers of patients are accommodated in clinic. Reviews physician schedules to resolve any conflicting appointments. Assist Transplant Coordinators with all aspects of patient care. Coordinate outpatient clinic, patient appointments and follow up. Assist the office with clerical duties. Other duties may include: assisting Transplant Coordinators in managing the care of the patient's through all phases (In-take/Evaluation/Listed) by acting as a liaison between the clinic and referring physicians/dialysis centers; assisting Transplant Coordinators in managing follow-up care for post transplant patients by setting up follow up care appointments with transplant surgeon/hepatologist or nephrologists; and/or coordinating an organized and efficient case flow of clinic scheduling. Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write English and Spanish proficiently. Must be comfortable with computers and medical terminology. Requirements Minimum Education: - High School Graduate or GED. Minimum Experience/Knowledge: - 2+ years experience in acute care or ambulatory care setting preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Familiarity with word processing, Microsoft Outlook, GE Centricity Business, Cerner, OTTR, TRACE, PBAR and scheduling software is preferred. - Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write English and Spanish proficiently. Required License/Certification: - A Fire and Safety card must be presented upon hire or must be obtained at our facility within the first 90 days of hire and maintained by renewing before expiration date.
