Provides Financial/Accounting support to the Plant Management/Operations and Business Unit home office accounting team.
Ensures internal controls and SOX requirements are effective and accounting data is accurate. Provides accounting and financial analysis services to Plant management and business unit including inventory control, time/payroll analysis, accounts payable, general ledger, assets control, product cost and labor or inventory analysis, as well as managerial, financial, and regulatory reporting. Ensures compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations and company policy and procedures. Prepares and analyzes key performance metrics and “dashboard” data, and presents and communicates conclusions effectively to others. Performs cost analysis and participates in month end close as it relates to the plant. Tracks capital spending and prepares analysis to justify investments. Provides routine and ad-hoc reports to plant and business unit management. Supports plants cycle count inventory program and annual physical inventories. Works on special projects as assigned as well as with internal and external auditors. May be required to travel periodically to home office or other plants.

Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with Customers, Suppliers, Plant personnel, Purchasing personnel, Inventory Control personnel and other business personnel
Solid computer skills, including MS- Office with intermediate Excel skills.
Excellent understanding of General and Cost Accounting principles, Plant Operations, inventory control, and internal controls
Serves as team member of the business unit accounting group
Bi-lingual (Spanish) a Plus, along with prior experience in Oracle, BPCS, and Kronos.
Bachelors or equivalent. Typically requires no previous professional experience.
