SUMMARY:
The Village Turndown Attendant is the front line of the the Village Housekeeping Team in the evenings.

They are responsible for providing AAA 4 Diamond service to all guests.

This position is responsible for insuring that all guest rooms are cleaned at the 4 Diamond standards; that all public areas remain clean during the evening hours; and performing turndown for all rooms which request service.

The Turndown Attendant will ultimately create a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for all guests.

This position will also be responsible for monitoring all hotel property to insure any maintenance issues are reported and taking inventory of all guest rooms so that any lost or missing guest room items are promptly reported. Ultimately it will be responsible for the 2

shift leading by example and giving “yes and then some” service to our guests.

The

Village Attendant

shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Wild Dunes Resort Culture as well as promoting Wild Dunes Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Essential job FUNCTIONS:
Must insure that all details of the guest rooms are held to 4 Diamond standards including but not limited to linen, towels, carpet, tile, walls, glass, appliances, and furnishings

Must be able to work in a high pace environment

independently without compromising attention to detail

Must be able to effectively and efficiently turn down a 30 room assignment board in a standard eight hour day

Must have ability to learn and improve on the job to increase cleanliness and productivity of the department

Must be able to interact with all hotel staff members including Guest Services, Maintenance and Food & Beverage outlets to insure channels of communication are maintained

Maintains cleanliness of resort property. Cleans guest rooms and corridors.

Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor

Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment

·

Keeps housekeeping caddy clean, stocked and orderly at all times

·

Follows through on lost and found procedures. No articles shall be removed from occupied rooms. Absolute respect for guest property should always be exercised.

Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.

·

Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken window panes, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair, etc.)

·

Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, maintains accurate time records and follows proper standards for issuance of rooms

·

Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Wild Dunes Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest

Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events

·

Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information

·

Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests

·

Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude

·

Communicates all pertinent information to the housekeeping team

·

Attends appropriate resort, division and department meetings

·

Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Wild Dunes Resort dress code standards.

·

Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times.

Associate is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.

Working CONDITIONS:
Must be able to stand on feet throughout the day, with intermittent periods of walking and stair climbing.

Must be able to lift 1-10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds occasionally and rarely 50 pounds (with assistance).

Must be able to twist, bend and squat frequently; kneel or crawl occasionally ; infrequently climb a ladder

Must be able to work in a warm or cold environment, including walking outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat), with exposure to chemicals and dust.

Must be able to perform repetitive hand & arm movements and simple grasping constantly; pushing & pulling, squeezing and overhead reaching frequently.

Preferred Qualifications

eXPERIENCE & eDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

·

Prior hospitality experience preferred

At least one year of prior housekeeping experience preferred

·

At least one year customer service experience preferred
