We are seeking a PR expert to manage product-based media relations at Twitter. The ideal candidate has successfully created and implemented PR strategies and campaigns around new technology features, service offerings, developer relations on a variety of platforms. The candidate would work proactively with our product, legal and policy teams to craft messaging and pitch stories to tech and business reporters.
This role requires the ability to explain many dimensions of Twitter’s strategic vision to the media. The ideal candidate will bring solid know-how of media relations as well as a passion for technology, preferably from a high-growth, consumer-facing technology company.
Effectively articulate Twitter messages and news on product development and innovation
Manage ongoing media relations about features and updates, bugs, support and related issues
Liase with others on communications team to strategically frame plans and messages across consumer, business, service and policy areas
Represent Twitter to relevant third-party organizations as needed
Develop and write communications plans and strategies blog posts, statements, tweets
4-6 years’ experience in technology communications and media relations
Hands-on in-house or agency experience managing tech and media accounts
Strong writing, editing and messaging skills
Strong skills in collaboration, project management and planning
Depth of knowledge about cloud technology, open platforms, and global digital services
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
