Title: Unified Communication/Video Engineer

The Senior Network Unified Communications and Video Engineer will assist in implementing and maintaining an infrastructure for an enterprise class global networking environment with focus on unified communications based on the Cisco Voice and Video platforms. The ideal candidate should have experience in supporting Cisco networks and have experience with IOS, routers, switches, Video and Voip technologies. This position will focus primarily on Unified Communications with emphasis on Video Conferencing, Call Manager, and Polycom Video endpoints.
Supporting and advanced troubleshooting of video conferencing technologies including H.323, H.264, H.221, SIP with a variety of endpoints both software based and hardware based (Cisco/Tandberg/Polycom)
Integrating diverse video collaboration technologies into seamless experience for participants (e.g., integrating Cisco Video endpoints with MS Lync and Jabber clients)
Successfully launch and deliver projects and manage Tier 3 technical Video support services/vendor.
Support Multi-vendor collaboration and video infrastructure, including MS Lync, Tandberg, and Web-Ex.
Engineer and analyze QoS, Multi-Casting, call flows, including audio and video bandwidth requirements
Define processes and standards to deliver stable Global IT Video services and continue building a standard collaboration suite of services.
Assist in the support, management and day to day operations of the corporate Unified Communications infrastructure, including management and guidance of a 24/7 support desk.
Execute Video hardware and software life-cycle management policies and procedures to meet business needs and ensure compliance with policies and asset management best-practices.
Support the enterprise Unified Communications environment, including incident resolution and configuration changes. Fulfill requests for installations, changes in configurations, coverage paths, etc. for both Video and Voice
Works closely with operations teams to proactively identify solutions to issues and problems and develops inter-office training and knowledge sharing.
Experience with video capture, transcoding, compression and archiving technologies, capturing video conferencing sessions and making them available for viewing in a variety of formats through digital libraries and archives
Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of video conferencing and technologies, including room/desktop systems, MCUs, Gateway, Gatekeeper, and room control systems over IP networks.
Demonstrated knowledge of videoconferencing standards including (but not limited to) H.261, H.263, H.264, G.711, G.722, G.728, H.242, H.243, H.248, H.450, H.239
Cisco Telepresence, Tandberg, Video Gateways , and WebEx; Microsoft Lync a plus
