The University of Northern Colorado is located in Greeley, Colorado, population nearly 100,000, an hour's drive north of Denver, and within driving distance of the Rocky Mountains. Description of Job:

This applicant pool will be used to fill multiple full-time and part-time Administrative Assistant II positions at the University of Northern as vacancies occur. The open competitive testing process results in an eligible list that will be used for approximately 6 months to fill various vacant positions. The State of Colorado requires that we send the top six scoring candidates from the eligible list to the hiring managers upon their request to fill an Administrative Assistant II position.

Job duties may include but are not limited to the following:
* Reception duties, answering phones and assisting walk-ins
* Accurate and timely processing and completion of documents
* Scheduling appointments and meetings
* Maintaining records, typing and word processing
* Gathering, coding, computing, entering, verifying and reporting data and information
* Ordering office supplies
* Making tansportation and lodging arrangements and scheduling facilities
* Operation of office equipment such as telephone systems, copiers, facsimile
machines, typewriters, personal computers, sorters and printers
* Use of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), etc.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions and Conditions of Employment:

Minimum Qualifications
Two years of general clerical experience.

College or university course work may substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.

Required Competencies
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites and data processing software along with excellent typing skills.

Conditions of Employment
Must be willing to submit to and able to pass a pre-placement background check.

Exam Instructions
A written multiple choice basic clerical exam will be required. Applicants will be notified by email or by letter of the date and time of the exam. Your score on the test will rank you in this hiring pool.
