Minimum Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in library services, office support, or related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

This position is being recruited for at the Contributing Competency Level under the Career Banding Program. The hiring range for this position is $25,000 - $38,039 and the salary grade equivalent is 59. ************************************************************************************************************************************************ Two years of college and two years of experience in library services, office support, or related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience.*** ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Computer experience. Solid organizational skills and ability to work accurately and with moderate supervision are critical General knowledge of library routines and procedures. Ability to follow established procedures and perform detailed clerical work. Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel software are highly desirable. A successful candidate must have excellent clerical skills, must communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, must remain calm under pressure, and must expeditiously process orders for new library materials. This person must show evidence of self-motivation and ability to work well independently and collaboratively. Selected candidate must effectively organize and prioritize workflow, show proven ability to work accurately with detailed records under deadlines, and to multi-task in a dynamic team environment. Problem-solving and keen observation skills are required. Candidate must have ability to analyze, interpret, recommend, and implement policy and procedural guidelines. Selected candidate must show dependability in regularly meeting work schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous law library work experience preferred. Ability to train students in detailed procedures. Good communication skills and ability to work well with others in an office environment. Experience with library online catalogs, library classification systems, electronic acquisitions/serials control systems.

Ability to move heavy boxes and books
