Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI)
is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services. Distributed Technology Services (DTS)
is responsible for managing the firm's global server and storage portfolio's across plan, build and operate functions. The organization is transforming into a Managed Services provider for JPMC and drives product management, engineering standards and productivity initiatives in support of the Managed Services.
The UNIX Security Solutions Engineer Lead will work within the Global Server Technologies' Server Product & Engineering organization, reporting to the global platform lead. Responsibilities shall include:
Customize and engineer technologies to meet the bank's requirements for solutions configuration
Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle of specific Solution Configuration engineering projects.
Define best practice guidelines for solution configuration deployment and usage ensuring all designs meet enterprise requirements for scalability, performance, resiliency, security, and manageability.
Develop firm wide strategy, standards and roadmaps for solutions configurations
Work with internal customers in clearly defining and documenting technical and business requirements for solution configuration engineering projects.
Work with project management resources in providing detailed timelines for project deliverables.
Provide regular detailed management status reports on solution configuration engineering projects and activities
Deliver detailed documentation (Statements of Work, Technical Designs , User Guides, Test Plans/ Results) for each engineering activity
Ensure solutions configurations are developed that are suited for large scale production deployment.
Provide documented certification results for solutions configurations that demonstrate they meet the requirements of applicable use cases
Level Support Services to DTS Operations and LOB Support teams that use the Solution Configuration
Minimum of 10+ years of systems engineering experience, 5+
years engineering experience in complex, large-scale IT environments.
Minimum of 5+
years in LDAP schema and Object management experience, experience on Oracle Directory Servers DSEE7 is a big plus.
Minimum of 5+
years of Unix Authentication and Authorization Tools such as eTrust, Centrify, Foxt BoKS
Minimum of 5+
years of experience with implementing Security Policies in directory environments
Participate in architectural discussions and support design efforts as needed
Consult with application teams implementing authentication & authorization services with guidance & best practices
Excellent troubleshooting skills, including the demonstrated ability to analyze, diagnose, resolve, escalate, and document issues.
Excellent team collaboration skills
Current experience of one or two UNIX operating systems (Red Hat Linux or AIX an advantage).
Advanced knowledge of UNIX Shell Scripting, to include Perl, Bash, & Korn languages. Ability to cite prior works in each.
Familiarity with open source development model of project coordination and related tools, for bug tracking and source code control
Familiarity with standard software development lifecycle techniques
Demonstrable expertise with functional requirements assurance, complex project activities, & project management.
Strong working knowledge of networking and storage fabric concepts and configurations.
Strong quality assurance & systems testing experience, to include performance testing methodologies.
Strong communication, interpersonal, & networking skills.
Technical writing & documentation skills.
Ability to train and mentor technical staff of varying skill levels.
ITIL v3 Framework knowledge preferred
Project Management experience preferred.
Educated to a technology or engineering degree level (or equivalent).
