The Purchasing Department is accepting applications for the position of Senior Contracts Administrator. This position
prepares, reviews, processes, manages and coordinates major complex contracts for goods and services including construction. Duties also
include Management of the PCard Program; Management of the Supplier Registration System; Management of sustainability initiatives; and
Development, implementation, and administration of the Supplier Diversity Program as well as supervising all applicable personnel assigned
those programs. The position works closely with technology employees within the department to ensure our processes are efficient and
This person is expected to oversee the day to day operations of the major purchasing initiatives; develop underlying policies,
procedures for the successful operations of those initiatives. The position will be expected to take the lead on major complex procurements
including issuing solicitations, contract negotiations, contract drafting and execution, and dispute resolution. The position must help the
successful coordination between the buying employees and the technology support staff (web design/administration; MUNIS administration, and
application development) of the Purchasing Department.
- A Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or
university in a related field is required. A minimum of 5 years of related professional experience is required. A Professional Certification
such as a C.P.M., CPPO, or CPPM or Advanced Degree is required. Successful candidate must demonstrate hands-on experience in all aspects of
complex procurement of goods and services The applicant must also demonstrate the following skills;
- Excellent oral communications skills
