Primary responsibilities include:
- Prepare complex contract documents; Issue complex bids and/or requests for
- Award and administer complex contracts;
- Procure a wide range of goods and services:
- Coordinate, lead, and train buying staff;
and administer departmental policies and procedures.
A Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited college or
university with three years of related professional experience is required. Candidates must have a high degree of proficiency with Microsoft
Office and associated applications. Successful candidates must demonstrate hands-on experience in preparing, reviewing, processing,
managing, and administering contracts, complex bids and request for proposals and have good oral and written communication skills with the
ability to write concise, logical, analytical reports. Investigative and problem solving skills are required. A thorough knowledge of
various procurement policies, including state and federal, contract law, construction practices and the UCC are preferred. A master's degree
(MBA or related) or professional purchasing related certification such as a C.P.M., CPPO, or CPPM is preferred. Must be a current UNLV
