Description

Are you looking for a rewarding interface design position where your solutions actually make a difference? CSC is seeking passionate User Interface Designers, who live and breathe usability and design, to join our growing unique user-centric development environment.

In this role, you will be part of a small team of UI designers that develop and execute interface design solutions including: prototypes, wire frames and designs for innovative applications of national security. You will be expected to create user interfaces that take advantage of the newest technologies as well as mobile devices and tablets. Our environment encourages designers to expand their skills daily. The successful candidate MUST meet the following:
US Citizenship is required for consideration.

Be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Provide a portfolio of your design work.

Desired skills:
Knowledge of HTML 5 and CSS 3

Ability to work between online and offline projects

Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite 5

Knowledge of JavaScript

Knowledge of 508 Compliance

Knowledge of building apps and websites for mobile devices

Essential Job Functions

Define user experience vision for products

Establishes a solid technical foundation with appropriate guidance.

Determines technical implications of products in customer environment with appropriate discussion and/or guidance.

Seeks out technical experts in areas outside of expertise

Conduct task analysis and develop activity and screen-flow diagrams

Develop wireframes to define the information architecture

Develop UI prototypes to define the interactive behavior

Conduct usability evaluations

Assist Developers with XHTML/CSS solutions

Effectively communicates message

Provides constructive information

Analyzes response to communication using analysis to enhance communication effectiveness

Develops a position and enables team members to understand the relevance of the issue through effective verbal/written communications

Define visual language, design principles and voice for overarching user experience and associated products.

Iterates and refines a design from initial direction, to conceptual design, to a detailed design that is fully specified for implementation.

Develops a design to satisfy business and user targets for specified measures.

Identifies a useful functional segmentation (use cases); defines user objects, information structures, object properties, relationships, and organizations (conceptual model); and specifies views that support users' tasks (task flow).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design or related field preferred

Two or more years of graphic design experience

Experience working with graphic design concepts and equipment

Experience working with printing preparation

Experience working with pre-press coordination

Experience working with graphic software
