The Customer Data Environment (CDE) is an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) that contains a consolidated view of customer interactions across Disney lines of businesses to support global marketing and analytic efforts. It is use to gain insight into consumer interests, preferences, behaviors and purchasing activities, and to model and predict consumers' future behavior and preferences.
The CDE IT team is responsible for all aspects of integrating the data into the EDW, including defining requirements, analyzing and profiling the source data, defining source-to-target mappings, designing and developing the data integration processes, testing of all data integration streams and assuring high data quality, and overseeing daily operations of production loads

Responsibilities
  • Work with Business Analyst, developers and QA team in setting up focus groups to better understand what is needed in terms of application documentation
  • Work with Developers to clearly articulate functional and technical design that can be understood by non-technical team members
  • Work with business users, data architech and business analyst to provide clear and concise data dictionary
  • Work with CDE team to provide wikipedia like documentation to be published in Backlot
