This position is located in La Mesa, San Diego County.
8-hour shift; 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, every other weekend
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- One (1) year current clerical experience in a health care setting required
- Filing, typing, computer and customer service skills experience
The Unit Clerk duties will be for an inpatient acute behavioral health unit with primary psychiatric diagnoses.
The Older Adult Program (OAP) is a 10 bed unit and part of 46 beds Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Sharp Grossmont Hospital. This unit provides inpatient, short-term comprehensive care for patients 55 years of age experiencing acute psychiatric disorders, cognitive impairment, and age-related physiological difficulties. Each patient receives care from an interdisciplinary team of Behavioral Health professionals. Treatment focuses on restoring function and allowing older adult patients to become as independent and productive as possible. The Sharp Grossmont Behavioral Health team consists of a dedicated staff of experienced professionals who care for the patient from admission through discharge. The team includes nurses, licensed clinical social workers, licensed marriage family therapists, psychiatrists, pharmacists and case managers.
