Coordinates and supervises provision of patient care and patient flow in the Special Procedures Unit/Outpatient Care Center consistent with the philosophy policies, standards of care and standards of practice of the organization, the nursing department and laws of the state.

Graduate of an approved school of nursing. BSN preferred. Current RN license to practice in North Carolina. Current BCLS required, must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Leadership skills, including ability to organize and prioritize, use critical thinking skills and problem solve. Knowledge and application of professional nursing theory, practice and procedures. Ability to function effectively in a fast paced, stressful environment.

Effective communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, other health care personnel, visitors and the public.

Complete knowledge of purpose and use of equipment. Minimum of three years’ clinical experience. Prefer one year experience in a Special Procedures/Endoscopy Unit.
