Direct University-wide, cross-functional teams in the development and evaluation of Requests for Proposals (RFP) leading to University master contracts. Negotiate with vendors, leveraging University buying power, in development of University-wide contracts. Evaluate and approve purchase requisitions up to $100,000. Review, evaluate, and sign contracts initiated by vendors for University approval. Evaluate contractual terms including risk management concerns and other liability issues. Consult with Risk Management and legal counsel as required. Develop, negotiate, and approve consulting and professional services contracts. Serve as contract manager for University master contracts. Monitor and ensure vendor compliance, resolve discrepancies and monitor customer satisfaction. Serve as team leader for strategic purchasing team. Serve on various committees as appropriate. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs.
