Education or Training Required:
Minimum 6 months on the job training in a meat processing facility required.
Authorized Required Training:
Lockout / Tag out
Forklift / Pallet jack
Experience Required (Length & Type)
Minimum 6 months experience in a meat processing facility.
6 months to one year casings experience in a pork processing facility is preferred.
Must be able to learn all jobs in the casings department and mucosa operations.
Must be able to learn mechanical aspects of all equipment and willing to set up, tear down.
Must be willing to learn and follow safety rules, plant rules and procedures.
Summary of Job Duties/ Responsibilities:
Must be capable of performing any job in the assigned area/line at a qualified status.
Will fill in for absent employees if necessary. Assist supervisor and trainer in
proper job and safety training of hourly employees. Will learn/fill in for the mucosa
Promote safety and lead by example.
Safe operation of forklift or mules.
