Position: Mid-Level VB/ASP.NET Developer
Location: Cambridge, MA *relocation is not authorized - Local candidates preferred*
Raytheon has an immediate need for a seasoned Mid-Level Developer with expertise in C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET Web Forms, Visual Studio 2010, SQL Server 2008, Infragistics Control, LogiXML ad-hoc reporting tool. The qualified candidate will be a key contributor in adding functionality to and maintaining a Safety Inspection and Reporting System for the FAA.
This position can be a Salary Grade E03 or E04 based upon the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
at least 4 years of Experience in software engineering / development
experience with software design principles
hands-on, detailed design and coding skills using the Microsoft .NET framework with basic understanding of UI design patterns with ASP.NET Code Behind.
In the service layer, candidate should have knowledge of WCF and SOA, with knowledge of basic multi-threading concepts.
In the data access layer, candidate should have an understanding of ORM technology and basic understanding of LINQ and SQL working with MS SQL: Server.
Work with senior members of the development team to design to enhance existing applications and develop new product functionality.
Recommend and implement corrections in highly complex technical applications and analysis to enhance performance.
Provide the customer base with second level support
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
Able to deal comfortably with ambiguity in a change-driven development project
Must be able to obtain a DOT clearance
- A grade/level E03 requires a minimum of 4 years relevant experience
- A grade/level E04 requires a minimum of 6 years relevant experience
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
