The Supply Chain Vice President of Logistics Operations is responsible for overseeing all material management in acute care operations across the footprint of Novant - 13 Hospital/Medical Center, Ambulatory Surgical Centers and centralized Logistic Center. Materials procedural areas include but not limited to: surgical services, Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional radiology, medical surgical areas, linen, central, mail and courier operations, fleet and logistics. Relationship builder within the market with leaders, peers, physicians and subordinates around product standardization, contract implementations, vendor management, and distribution of materials within the designated area of support. Oversee the leaders that manage all procedural area inventories with a focus to reduce expenses related to use of materials not on contract and ensuring that new technology requests go through Ariba, the requisition process for introduction into Novant. The Vice President provides leadership, mentoring, career development, and training of staff in each of the facilities within the market.
The VP is the executive leader for Supply Chain Technology and support. This role will oversee, plan, develop and implement all software related to Supply Chain. In addition, he/she will lead the Supply Chain Technology Team in the development and maintenance of all interface applications as needed.
The VP will work closely with leaders across all of Novant to provide support to the daily operations of the entire Supply Chain network. He or she will also oversee and direct departmental activities to ensure quality services for both internal and external customers. He or she will provide input and guidance to the strategic vision of Supply Chain with the objective of maximizing growth and profitability as well as day-to-day leadership and management to all operational functions.
- Education: Master's degree required.
- Experience: Minimum seven years Supply Chain executive experience within a large IDN (Integrated Delivery Network); HealthCare system with both large and small Acute Care, preferred.
- Additional skills required: Strategic visionary with exceptional interpersonal skills, forward focused and the overall ability to lead and interact as a team player. Strong organizational and prioritizing skills are a must. Proven leadership demonstrated by quantifiable achievements. Excellent communication skills, written and oral, including conflict resolution. Self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Commitment to customer service, team building and relationship management within the organization.
- Additional skills preferred: Ability to exhibit complete objectivity in conduct of all business transactions while always acting in the best interest of Novant, the proven ability to create new programs and solutions to resolve challenges, while ensuring attainment of the overall business plan for Supply Chain and the organization.
