Vice President Global Marketing Communications & Strategy

Purpose of Position: Elevate awareness of the global Savvis brand and change perception from product centric to business solutions. Ultimate objective for this role is to drive lead generation which results in qualified and closed business.

Position Summary:
The Vice President of Global Marketing Communication and Strategy will report to the CMO and be responsible for lead generation through content development, digital marketing, integrated campaigns, advertising and sales resources. This person will partner with the product marketing, field and industry teams and drive the overall marketing plan to achieve business results.

Essential duties:
Lead Generation: Both ideate and manage lead gen campaign execution across all marketing mediums. Maximize use of targeting data to customize campaigns that will yield the greatest results. Develop ongoing client communication strategies to cross/up sell and continue to position Savvis as a thought leader. Objective is to have 80% of pipeline be influenced by marketing and 25% marketing developed.

Digital Marketing: Responsible for all aspects of the web from creating and managing site content, taxonomy and navigation to the user experience. SEM, SEO, PPC, Display advertising. On-line sales through cloud portal. Develop and manage overall digital marketing plan (across all mediums) and increase call to actions and results.

AR/PR/Social Media: Partner to develop overall strategies and tactics that realize the benefit of these mediums. Increase SOV, elevate position with leading analyst firms and aggressively expand social media presence to broaden target audience and drive qualified leads.

Content and Collateral: Responsible for all global content creation. Develop a message framework and hierarchy. Ensure consistent execution globally.

Thought Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic plan to associate the Savvis brand with thought leadership.

Sales Collateral and Kits: Create and execute on traditional and non-traditional means by which to educate and quickly ramp the sales force to generate leads. Assess overall content and intranet capabilities and design a plan that will reduce sales cycles and generate speed to market.

Minimum Requirements:
15+ years in marketing senior leadership roles in the global high tech arena

8+ years leading high performing brand, communication and web teams

Proven results ideating and executing global lead generation programs with measurable results

Solid business acumen and the ability to prioritize based on financial potentials

Experience leading PR, AR, Web, Advertising, Sales Enablement, Brand, Social Media, Segmentation and lead generation functions

Thorough understanding of cloud hosting, security, consulting and IT outsourcing

Relevant experience in driving business results in EMEA and AP

Superior written and oral presentation skills

Experience managing agencies around the world

Proven track record for driving results through joint partner programs

Highly analytical

Bachelor Degree

Proven ability to manage large and small teams with significant budget responsibility

Preferred Requirements:
Established relationships within the industry – partners, analysts, agencies

Experience with Salesforce.com and Eloqua
