With minimum direction, develop and maintain strategic relationships with key providers and their staff to understand and influence how VSP can support and maximize the growth of their practice. Build VSP loyalty through support, program adoption and education as it relates to VSP strategic initiatives.
Establish relationships with and become experts of the assigned practices. Proactively and interactively communicate VSP's strategic direction and relevance to their office. Share insights with key business partners to continue refinement of strategic initiatives.
Provide consultative advice on the services and programs offered through the VSP companies to build more successful practices.
Evaluate all provider interactions with VSP to increase efficiencies and enhance overall satisfaction. Proactively contact and monitor providers to identify problematic issues and offer solutions within VSP's established policies and processes.
Network with key personnel, including but not limited to, State Executive Directors, in order to establish mutually beneficial relationships and influence VSP's standing in the optometric community for assigned region.
Escalate provider issues to the appropriate business partners and drive solutions as needed to respond within established timelines. Schedule and facilitate meetings and manage task forces when needed to meet provider requirements. Document provider contact information and identified issues in reporting tool.
Report systemic information to management, executives, board members, State Professional Representatives and business partners as applicable.
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
Five years of health care experience, sales, marketing or related experience in a customer focused servicing, sales or business development capacity
Advanced communication, influencing and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to identify problems and provide creative solutions
Demonstrated professionalism and leadership in dealing with situations involving controversy and conflict
Demonstrated ability to balance provider needs with VSP's corporate objectives
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with key decision-makers and industry leaders
Strong attention to detail, organizational and customer service skills
Ability to travel up to 35% of the time
