VP Professional Services
Renaissance Learning is seeking an experienced professional to manage our Professional Services team which includes Program Management, Project Management, Coaching and Professional Development delivered on-site and remotely. In this position you will have the opportunity to lead a strong professional services team to even greater heights in creating exceptional implementations of our best-in-class solutions. You will also be focusing on our ever-present mission to accelerate learning in a fast-paced environment that features rapid technological and educational change in a company with a growing global reach.
This position will work closely with senior leadership to map out the annual business plan and ensure those objectives are achieved each year. The successful candidate will be an innovative, strategic thinker with the ability to initiate positive change in line with our overall mission to accelerate learning.
The Vice President - Professional Services will have a solid business acumen, technical understanding, and past experience providing professional development leadership with a SaaS provider. Additionally the goals for this position include: continuous improvements on best practices in education and in internal processes that drive the delivery of services, managing key customer relationships, effective resource planning and continued collaboration with sales, products and all other stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Strategic and tactical leadership of the professional services team to achieve our mission.
Ensure customer success through successful implementations
Executive level customer escalation contact
Build upon customer relationships
Manage the business and educational aspects of Professional Services through staff and resource management and innovation
Collaborate with management across functions to ensure customer and company success
Implement and utilize services best practice and standardized processes to increase services capability and drive increased satisfaction, revenue and margins
Manage department operations to budget and financial targets
Professional development advocate within the company
- This position can be based in our corporate headquarters location of Wisconsin Rapids, WI or anywhere nationwide within proximity of a major airport.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S., or B.Ed.) from a four-year college or university; and minimum of ten years related experience managing in educational professional services and/or customer training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA or MEd or related post-graduate degree highly preferred. Teaching experience and success delivering exceptional professional development also highly desirable.

Willingness to travel 50%+ of the time
