Vice President of Integrated Systems
We seek a Vice President of Integrated Systems to provide strategic leadership in emerging models of integrated aging service delivery that are driven by health care reform and new payment strategies that include (but are not limited to) managed care for long term supports and services, programs for dually eligible beneficiaries, accountable care organizations with shared savings, and bundled payment programs. This individual will provide expertise to member organizations, as well as to the LeadingAge staff to understand the changing revenue and system designs, and provide direction in how best to create meaningful, collaborative approaches that can address payment, quality and “value-add” of the full spectrum of aging services. This individual will contribute to public policy discussions and analyze proposed regulations and legislative initiatives focused on integrated systems. The Vice President will report to our Senior Vice President of Advocacy and Public Policy. The role will become available as of January 1, 2014.
Candidates must have a Masters of Business Administration in Health Administration and Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; plus, at least 8-10 years experience in the field of aging services, including operational experience at an organizational level of integrated service model design and managed care.
Requirements include an understanding of CMS Innovations Center and how these innovation demonstrations apply to LeadingAge member organizations; and ability to “translate” lessons learned and apply to model replication; knowledge of health care systems and operations that include acute care, physician practices and the post-acute continuum; knowledge of current quality measures that apply to the aging services field (CMS, NQF, NCQA, CARF, etc.); knowledge of integrated programs that coordinate care and payment for dually eligible beneficiaries (i.e. The Duals).
Other requirements include strong policy analysis skills, oral and written communication and presentation skills; ability to translate technical payment, regulatory and legislative issues into understandable concepts and languages for policy makers and LeadingAge members. Must have ability to set own goals and work independently or with team to accomplish priorities; must demonstrate ability to be an effective advocate for the association and its positions, strong customer service skills, and commitment to serving Leadership membership. Local and national overnight travel required..
